Michael’s practice is principally focused on leveraged financings for acquisitions, recapitalizations and going private transactions. His clients include leading investment banking firms and commercial banks. Michael has represented underwriters, placement agents and initial purchasers in public and private high-yield and equity offerings and secured bank loans in an array of industries.
Michael has also represented broker-dealers in numerous matters, including dealer-manager and consent solicitation agent engagements, and has represented issuers and broker dealers in tender and exchange offer transactions.
Michael is recognized by Chambers USA (2007) as one of the top 50 capital markets practitioners in the country for debt and equity transactions, and one of the top 50 banking and finance lawyers in New York.
Michael joined Cahill following his graduation from Albany Law School. He became a partner in 1997.
