Women's Initiative
The Women Lawyers of Cahill is an affinity group that works to develop, retain, and support Cahill's female attorneys at all levels of seniority. 18% of our partners and 45% of our associates are women.
The Women Lawyers of Cahill group hosts seasonal events to provide our women lawyers with new circles of collaboration, support, mentoring and networking. The group has also initated funding and participation in the New York legal community through its sponsorship of key events for women by organizations such as the New York Women's Foundation and New York Asian Women's Center.
Work / Life Balance
Our female lawyers benefit from the firm's quality of life benefits such as Cahill's Work / Life Balance Policy, which is offered to all firm attorneys. In addition, women who return to the firm after giving birth or adopting a child are given the option to work at a reduced load for up to three months at proportionate pay. This option is extended to women attorneys to help make a smooth transition back to work after maternity leave. This benefit is in addition to Cahill's existing maternity and paternity leave policies and does not restrict other opportunities to work alternative schedules.
