Associate Life
Your work environment can be as important, if not more important, to your overall satisfaction than what you work on and learn. At Cahill, we are proud of the fact that there is no "firm culture" to which associates are expected to conform. When asked to "describe this firm to other law school students" by the American Lawyer in the 2008 - 2010 Summer Associates Surveys, our summer associates said it all:
- "A firm that does great work for front-page clients and allows you the ability to shape your own practice. The Firm recruits 'good' people, which makes it a great place to work - you won't find any snobby, stuck up partners or associates."
- "People at other big firms are envious of how close our summer class is and of our overall experience in comparison."
- "Both the associates and partners are extremely intelligent and hard-working, yet surprisingly laid back and down-to-earth. Everyone, including the most senior partners, is very accessible."
- "Outstanding. The partners and associates are at the top of their game, friendly, and eager to train. The work is real, the responsibility humbling, and the training unsurpassed. Expect to work very hard - but to have an extremely rewarding and maturing experience."
The complete set of responses from our 2008 - 2010 summer associates are available for download. We encourage you to speak with both alumni and current Cahill attorneys. A search of our lawyers by undergrad and law school is available from the Attorneys menu at the top of this page.
