Our summer program is designed to be a realistic and rewarding experience for law students. We have no formal departments or rotation policies.
Our summer associates enjoy the freedom to choose the work that interests them and to develop quickly leveraging an environment that encourages individuality. They are mentored by full time partners and associates and are given opportunities to participate in a wide range of meaningful assignments and activities such as client meetings, negotiations, court experience, travel, research and drafting briefs, pleadings and memos. They are also given opportunities to represent, on a one-on-one basis, pro bono clients of The Legal Aid Society who lack the legal counsel indispensable to secure benefits that profoundly impact their lives.
Inside Story: What our summer associates are saying about us.
Read all of the responses submitted by our 2007 and 2008 summer associates to AmLaw Question 65 -- "How would you describe this firm to other law school students?" Every response is reprinted in its entirety, without edit.
