Cahill associates raised over $7,900 and placed third in the division for The Legal Aid Society through its annual fundraiser. Cahill placed eleventh overall out of thirty-seven participating firms. The Legal Aid Society raised aggregate proceeds of $328,757.89.
Founded in 1876, The Legal Aid Society is the nation's oldest provider of legal services to the impoverished. The Society specializes in providing free legal services, including criminal defense work and juvenile representation in Family Court. The services are offered to New Yorkers who live below the poverty line and cannot afford to hire legal representation.
