Validus to Acquire IPC Holdings

Cahill is representing Validus Holdings, Ltd. in connection with its agreement to acquire all of the outstanding shares of IPC Holdings, Ltd. The transaction would create a leading Bermuda carrier in the short-tail reinsurance and insurance market with $3.4 billion in shareholders' equity. The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of 2009.
