Validus Completes Acquisition of IPC Holdings

Cahill represented Validus Holdings, Ltd. in connection with its agreement to acquire all of the outstanding shares of IPC Holdings, Ltd. The transaction was approved by the shareholders of the respective companies and closed on September 4, 2009 following a hard fought proxy fight in which Validus was able to convince IPC shareholders to reject the deal previously signed by IPC with another Bermuda reinsurer.
