Cahill Prevails on Behalf of Yale University Press

Date: 08/22/13

A Cahill litigation team prevailed on behalf of Yale University Press in a libel action brought by a forensic art authenticator who claimed he was defamed by a passage in a Jackson Pollock biography.  The United States District Court for the Southern District of New York dismissed the suit in its entirety, ruling that Plaintiff is a limited purpose public figure and, as such, failed to meet his burden of adequately alleging that Yale University Press acted with actual malice in publishing the Pollock biography.
