Cahill Represents Tembec in Acquisition by Rayonier Advanced Materials

A Cahill M&A team advised Tembec, a publicly traded Canadian company, its board and its special committee in connection with Tembec’s acquisition by Rayonier Advanced Materials, a publicly traded US company. In August 2017, the Cahill antitrust team secured antitrust approvals from the U.S. Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission. Cahill oversaw and coordinated global approvals in Germany, China and Canada. The deal closed on November 20, 2017 creating the leading global supplier of specialty cellulose.
