Chérie R. Kiser is a senior advisor to leading telecommunications and data communications providers in all aspects of their business, focused on corporate transactions and regulatory counsel. Her clients include cable companies, competitive local exchange carriers, Internet service providers, VoIP providers, applications service providers, satellite carriers, wireless carriers, trade associations, and large users of telecommunications and information services. Chérie is recognized as a leading communications lawyer in Washington, D.C. by Chambers USA and The Legal 500.

Since 1990, Chérie has been at the forefront of the expansion of new entrants into the voice and data communications markets. In this regard, she has assisted major communications companies in all aspects of their telecommunications and broadband entry strategies, including the provision of general advice and representation before the Federal Communications Commission and state regulatory agencies. She provides advice on state and federal legislative actions concerning the regulation of communications and related industries.

Chérie acts as regulatory counsel in connection with initial public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and other transactions such as the negotiation of numerous complex network, equipment, services, interconnection, peering, marketing, and revenue sharing agreements. Earlier in her career, Chérie was a Senior Regulatory Attorney for Sprint Communications Company, where she represented the company before state regulatory agencies and courts in seventeen states.

Chérie is a member of the American Bar Association, Federal Communications Bar Association, International Technology Law Association, Women in Cable & Telecommunications, National Association of Women Lawyers, and Society of Industry Leaders. She is listed in America’s Registry of Outstanding Professionals; The United Who’s Who Executive and Professional Registry, Honors Edition; and Marquis Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Law, Who’s Who of American Women, Who’s Who in the East, and Who’s Who in the World. She serves on the Board of Directors of World Unity, Inc., a diversity focused non-profit corporation headquartered in Jamaica Plain, MA.
