Bill principally represents commercial and investment banks in leveraged financings related to acquisitions, recapitalizations, refinancings and restructurings. He has extensive experience practicing in the chemical industry, where he led financings for companies involved in the production of both high volume commodity chemicals as well as sophisticated technical applications.
Bill is recognized among the leading capital markets practitioners in the nation by Chambers USA (2009).

- Representation of numerous investment banks in connection with debt and equity financings for Ameristar Casinos, Inc. since 2001, including $650 million aggregate principal amount of senior notes in 2009.
- Representation of Orleans Homebuilders, Inc. in connection with the restructuring of its revolving credit agreement.
- Representation of Banc of America Securities in connection with exchange offers for debt securities of GMAC LLC and certain of its subsidiaries and Residential Capital LLC.
- Representation of Deutsche Bank, UBS, Banc of America and BNP Paribas in connection with the high-yield financing for the acquisition by Oak Hill of eight Fox television stations from News Corporation.
- Representation of Credit Suisse, Banc of America and Morgan Stanley, in connection with approximately $12 billion of bank and bond financing for the acquisition of Intelsat Corporation by BC Partners.
- Representation of numerous leading investment banks in connection with 18 different corporate transactions involving Huntsman Corporation, including the issuance of over $6.0 billion of high-yield bonds.

Bill joined Cahill in 1985 after completing a federal district court clerkship. He became a partner in 1992.
