Associate Liaison Committee

Cahill's Associate Liaison Committee (ALC) addresses the collective concerns and evolving preferences of our associate community. Comprised of both associates and partners, the ALC discusses a variety of associate concerns and proposes solutions, often aimed at work/life balance. Examples of initiatives by the ALC include:

  • Introduction of a new training program for incoming and established associates
  • Adoption of a Flex-time Policy
  • Restructuring of associates' reviews
  • Introduction of Mentor Partners for guidance and support
  • Provision of annual technology stipends for home office expenses
  • Creation of the associate lounge
  • Introduction of discounted health club membership options

  • David L. Barash, Partner
    David practice primarily focuses on advising leading investment banks, institutional investments funds, commercial banks and corporations in public and private financing transactions, including debt and equity offerings, mezzanine financings and bank financings.
  • Jonathan J. Frankel, Partner
    Jonathan J. Frankel's practice is focused on corporate finance and capital markets transactions as well as general corporate and securities advice. Jon has extensive experience with secured lending transactions as well as debt and equity securities offerings and has worked on some of the largest and most complex multinational financing transactions of our time.
  • Elai Katz, Partner
    Elai Katz's practice focuses principally on a wide range of antitrust law matters, including litigation, mergers and acquisitions, counseling, and government investigations. He also has significant experience in intellectual property counseling and litigation as well as general commercial litigation.
  • John Papachristos, Partner
    John Papachristos represents investment banks, institutional investment funds and corporations in public and private capital markets transactions, leveraged bank financings, mezzanine financings, merger and acquisition transactions and general corporate matters.
  • Luis R. Penalver, Partner
    Luis R. Penalver represents leading investment banks, private equity fund clients and corporations in debt and equity securities transactions, bank financings, mergers and acquisitions and out-of-court debt restructurings.
  • Sean P. Tonolli, Partner
    Sean’s practice is principally focused on advising global companies, boards, committees, and officers and directors in matters involving criminal and regulatory enforcement and in connection with investigations by the DOJ, SEC, and other governmental agencies.
  • S. Penny Windle, Partner
    Penny Windle advises global corporations, leading banks, boards of directors, special committees and directors and officers of publicly-held companies in high stakes commercial litigation and government investigations, with particular emphasis on complex securities, insurance and reinsurance matters.
