Chérie R. Kiser Joins Cahill Gordon & Reindel LLP as Partner in Washington, D.C. Office

Cahill Gordon & Reindel LLP today announced that Chérie R. Kiser has joined the firm as a partner resident in its Washington, D.C. office. Ms. Kiser has been at the forefront of the expansion of new entrants into the voice and data communications markets since 1990, and has assisted large communications companies in all aspects of their telecommunications and broadband strategies including the provision of general advice and representation before the Federal Communications Commission and state regulatory agencies. Ms. Kiser will be managing Cahill’s D.C. office. She joins Cahill from Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C., where she managed the D.C. office and chaired the firm’s Communications Section.

Ms. Kiser has represented telecommunications and data communications companies such as local exchange carriers, cable companies, integrated communications providers, Internet service providers, voice over Internet protocol service providers, applications service providers, satellite carriers, wireless carriers, trade associations, and large users of telecommunications and information services in transactions and related regulatory advice.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Kiser was a Senior Regulatory Attorney for Sprint Communications Company. She earned her B.A. from the University of Minnesota in 1981, and her J.D., with a specialization in communications, from the Columbus School of Law at Catholic University of America in 1987.
