Gregory J. Battista Joins Cahill's Environmental Practice

Cahill Gordon & Reindel LLP is pleased to announce that Gregory J. Battista has joined the firm as Counsel and leader of its environmental practice group. Mr. Battista's practice is principally focused on advising banks and global companies on environmental matters in connection with financing and other corporate transactions.In welcoming Mr. Battista to Cahill, executive committee chairman William M. Hartnett commented: "Greg is an accomplished practitioner with significant experience in environmental law compliance and risk assessment. His presence will be of great benefit to our clients."
Mr. Battista has practiced in a variety of industries, including energy, financial services, mining and manufacturing. He joins Cahill from LRN Corporation, where he was general counsel and led teams that provided education and advisory services to global organizations with respect to corporate governance, environmental compliance and sustainability programs.
Mr. Battista is a graduate of Seton Hall University School of Law, where he was Editor-in-Chief of its Legislative Journal and President of its Environmental Law Forum. Greg earned his M.B.A. from Rider University and his B.A., summa cum laude from Boston College.
