Cahill is proud to have sponsored the NAACP’s Legal Defense Fund’s (LDF) 34th National Equal Justice Awards Dinner (NEJAD) on Tuesday, May 10, 2022. The event, held in-person this year at Lincoln Center in New York City, honored musician Stevie Wonder with the Icon Award. This year’s dinner theme, “Truth Is Power,” recognized and honored the leaders in law, the arts, business and philanthropy who have demonstrated a commitment to the promotion of racial justice and equality and celebrate the continued civil rights work accomplished by LDF.
LDF is America’s premier legal organization fighting for racial justice. Since its inception in 1940 under U.S. Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall, LDF has worked to achieve structural changes to expand democracy and defend the protections won over the past 80 years of civil rights struggle.
