Cahill Advises Financing Sources in Broadcom’s $61 Billion Acquisition of VMware

Cahill is advising the financing sources in connection with $32 billion aggregate principal amount of bridge commitments provided to Broadcom to finance its acquisition of VMware. The acquisition is valued at $61 billion and the completed transaction would nearly triple the size of Broadcom’s software division. Broadcom Inc. is a designer, developer, manufacturer and global supplier of a broad range of semiconductor and infrastructure software solutions, and VMware, Inc. is an American cloud computing and virtualization technology company headquartered in California.
The Cahill team is being led by partners Bill Hartnett, Sean Davis and Dan Anderson and includes associates Nick Rodriguez, Keith Marantz and law clerk Spencer Shweky.
