Sean Tonolli Quoted in GIR on the DOJ’s Single Self-Disclosure Policy

Cahill partner Sean Tonolli, a former senior leader in the U.S. Department of Justice’s Fraud Section, was quoted in Global Investigations Review (GIR) discussing parallels with the Criminal Division policy released in May 2025. Sean noted that the Criminal Division has been overseeing corporate enforcement since the FCPA Unit launched its pilot program nearly a decade ago.
Sean stated, “Antitrust aside, all DOJ components will now be singing from the same sheet of music,” adding “that should bring greater certainty to the factors companies need to weigh when deciding whether to self-disclose. And more consistent outcomes when they do.”
