Cahill and Cahill Attorneys Honored by Sanctuary for Families

Cahill lawyers Joel Kurtzberg, Peter Sloane, Daniel R. LeCours, Suzanne P. Marinkovich, Matthew V.H. Noller, Thomas Watson, former Cahill associates Ben Schatz and William Whitney and the firm have been awarded Sanctuary for Families’ 2015 Above & Beyond Pro Bono Achievement Award at the annual benefit held by Sanctuary for Families on October 19th. The firm and these lawyers were recognized for going “above and beyond” by providing outstanding pro bono representation and advocacy on behalf of victims of domestic violence and sex trafficking.
Cahill serves as a General Counsel to Sanctuary for Families, and through a pro bono program, Cahill’s lawyers serve as advocates for domestic violence victims seeking protective orders in Family Court, provide legal counseling to immigrant domestic violence victims seeking permanent resident status or citizenship, and provide legal advice to victims of domestic violence and sex trafficking outside of litigation.
