Kelly Graves is the Director of Innovation and Attorney Advancement in the New York office of Cahill Gordon & Reindel LLP, where she leads the firm’s AI strategy and firmwide implementation.

A former Federal prosecutor with extensive experience in law firm management, operations, and organizational development, she helps guide the firm’s AI strategy, overseeing the evaluation, deployment, and integration of AI tools and platforms across the firm’s practice groups and business functions. Kelly’s work focuses on identifying high-impact use cases for AI in legal work, partnering with attorneys and staff to embed AI-driven solutions into day-to-day practice, and building the governance frameworks necessary to support responsible and effective AI adoption. Kelly brings a track record of leading strategic change in complex organizations, having led initiatives across a range of law firm departments, including the launch of practice management functions at two global AmLaw 25 firms.

Kelly also leads Cahill’s attorney advancement, helping lawyers and firm leaders navigate growth, development, and transformation within the firm.  In this capacity, she leads the firm’s executive coaching and career advising function, supporting attorneys at all levels on leadership and management, career planning, and professional development. She also advises firm leadership on talent strategy, and has led foundational efforts to define core competencies and strengthen engagement, retention, and advancement across the firm.

Before moving into law firm leadership, Kelly practiced as a litigator for over a decade, including serving as an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of New Jersey and as a Trial Attorney for DOJ’s Fraud Section. During her tenure as a Federal prosecutor, Kelly handled investigations and prosecutions involving health care fraud, bank fraud, identity theft, environmental crimes, money laundering offenses, and violent crime.  Kelly also previously served as a law clerk for the Honorable Joseph F. Bianco, then-United States District Judge for the Eastern District of New York (now of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit).
