Sean R. Tierney

Sean Tierney, member of Cahill’s Banking & Finance and Capital Markets practice groups, represents leading investment banking firms and other institutional investors in a broad range of corporate financing transactions.

Sean has extensive experience representing leading investment banks, institutional investors and commercial banks in connection with public and private capital markets transactions, including bank financings, syndicated institutional loans and asset-backed loans, in connection with acquisition financings, leveraged buyouts, going-private transactions, recapitalizations, project financings, bridge lending and loan commitments, out-of-court restructurings and other financing transactions.

Sean’s representations include debt financing sources in connection with the acquisition of CDK Global by Brookfield Business Partners, the acquisition of Tenneco by Apollo Global Management, and the take private of Nielsen Holdings plc by investors led by affiliates of Elliott Investment Management and Brookfield Business Partners. In addition, Sean has represented the lead arrangers in connection with credit facilities for borrowers such as Nasdaq, Inc., News Corporation and Aptiv Corporation.

Sean has been recommended by The Legal 500 in high-yield debt offerings. He currently serves as a member of Cahill's Education and Training Committee.
