Joel Kurtzberg Presents at University of Minnesota’s 30th Annual Silha Lecture

On October 19, Cahill partner Joel Kurtzberg spoke at the 30th Annual Silha Lecture, held at the University of Minnesota’s School of Journalism & Mass Communication. This year’s lecture, entitled "Clear and Present Danger: Covering National Security Issues in the Post 9/11 World," focused on the nearly eight-year legal battle by the United States Justice Department to keep New York Times reporter and Pulitzer Prize-winning author James Risen from having to testify about the identity of his confidential sources in his 2006 book, State of War. Joel was joined by Mr. Risen, whom he has represented in the dispute since 2007. More information on the event is available via the link below.
