Joel Kurtzberg to Speak at PLI Event: Addressing Domestic Violence 2026

Cahill partner Joel Kurtzberg will speak on the panel, “Constructing the Case Narrative for Trial When Representing a Domestic Violence Survivor,” at Practising Law Institute’s (PLI) Addressing Domestic Violence 2026: Representation in a Complex Custody Case event. For over a decade, Joel has led Cahill’s pro bono partnership with Sanctuary For Families, through which he and many Cahill associates have represented domestic violence survivors and their children. 

Joel and the other panelists will discuss how to center the case narrative on domestic violence and its impact on the child’s best interests, while effectively organizing witness testimony and presenting supporting evidence.
