Cahill partner Gary Kalbaugh presented the webinar “Derivatives, Digital Assets, and AI in Financial Markets,” hosted by myLawCLE.

Gary, along with David Schwed, Chief Technology Officer of OpenReserve, examined the regulatory frameworks governing derivatives and digital assets and detailed how evolving technologies defy traditional categorization, raising new questions­­ about the role of government in cryptocurrency- and blockchain-related matters. The webinar also discussed the potential liabilities of introducing AI into trading products and assessed possible solutions for AI governance and regulation. Together, Gary and David offered a forward-looking roadmap for AI governance, documentation, and regulatory engagement.
