Benchmark Litigation 2011 Recognizes Cahill as a Leading National Litigation Firm
Cahill has again been designated a leading national litigation firm for its "consistent presence on and ability to handle complex, high-stakes litigation in multiple jurisdictions throughout the country" in Benchmark Litigation 2011. Published by Euromoney Institutional Investor PLC, Benchmark Litigation is the only publication to focus exclusively on litigation in the U.S.
The publication ranks Cahill among leading firms nationally and in New York for its work in general commercial, insurance and securities litigation. Cahill's New York litigation practice is "highly recommended," and the 2011 edition notes that the firm's multidisciplinary approach "allows for more answers to come from fewer partners and simplifies working relationships with in-house counsel."
Benchmark 2011 also ranks seven of Cahill's litigators for being consistently recommended as "reputable and effective litigators by clients and peers." Partners Floyd Abrams, Thomas J. Kavaler, David N. Kelley, Edward P. Krugman, Howard "Peter" Sloane and Jonathan Thier are recognized as either national or New York local "litigation stars," and partner Penny Windle is designated a "future star" in New York.
Benchmark Litigation identifies the leading U.S. trial attorneys and firms at the local and national levels. Focused exclusively on the U.S. litigation market, the publication's rankings and editorials are the result of extensive interviews with private practice lawyers and in-house counsel. The guide's "local litigation stars" list reflects lawyers who are recommended by peers and clients to have established consistent reputations as reputable and effective trial attorneys.
