Cahill Secures Dismissal of Class Action Against Meteora Co-Developer Benjamin Chow

Cahill secured a significant victory for Benjamin Chow, a co-developer of the decentralized peer-to-peer digital asset trading platform known as Meteora, obtaining a complete dismissal in a high-profile class action lawsuit—which alleged that Mr. Chow, along with co-defendants, illegally conspired to launch fraudulent “memecoins,” including those associated with Melania Trump and Argentinian President Javier Milei.

On September 29, 2026, U.S. District Judge Jennifer L. Rochon of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York adopted Cahill’s arguments and granted Mr. Chow’s motion to dismiss all claims asserted against him, while denying plaintiffs’ request to file a Second Amended Complaint. The court dismissed the claims with prejudice and ordered the case closed. This victory follows Cahill’s defeat of plaintiffs’ request to freeze Mr. Chow’s assets last year.
