Cahill partners Sarah Chen and Jason Schwartz spoke on Practising Law Institute’s (PLI) Crypto Law 2025: Evolving Best Practices for an Industry in Transition.
Sarah will participate in the “US Crypto Regulatory Review” panel, where she will discuss the potential crypto market structure legislation, the status of SEC enforcement actions, and latest guidances from the U.S. governmental agencies.
Jason will participate in the “Crypto Tax Survey” panel, where he will discuss how tax considerations can drive protocol structuring and have material impacts on everything from team compensation to public distributions. The panel also covered crypto broker rule, tax considerations in structuring issuer wrappers, team compensation issues, and taxation of airdrops.
