Cahill Secures Third ATA Dismissal for Binance

Cahill secured a significant victory for Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, obtaining dismissal of a complaint brought under the Anti-Terrorism Act ("ATA"), with billions of dollars in damages potentially at stake. The lawsuit alleged that entities operating the Binance.com exchange aided and abetted acts of terrorism by permitting terrorist-linked users to transact on the platform.

On May 29, 2026, U.S. District Judge Carl J. Nichols of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia granted Binance's motion to dismiss in full, and dismissed the ATA claims with prejudice.
