Sanctuary for Families Honors Associate Jonathan White with 2019 Above & Beyond Pro Bono Achievement Award

Cahill associate Jonathan White received Sanctuary for Families’ 2019 Above & Beyond Pro Bono Achievement Award at Sanctuary’s annual benefit held on November 12, 2019. Jonathan was recognized for going “above and beyond” in his pro bono work on behalf of victims of gender-based violence. Cahill’s efforts enabled our client to gain full custody of her children, a final order of protection against her abusive husband, and a fair and appropriate child support order after seven years of advocacy.
Since 1997, Cahill lawyers have worked with Sanctuary for Families to provide legal advocacy for domestic violence victims seeking protective orders in Family Court, legal counseling to immigrant domestic violence victims seeking permanent resident status or citizenship, and legal advice to victims of domestic violence and sex trafficking in matters outside of litigation.
