Cahill Named Among Nation’s Top Firms by Legal 500 USA

The Legal 500 United States has once again recognized Cahill as one of the country’s most elite law firms as part of the publication’s 2021 guide. The Firm was named as a leading law firm in: Antitrust Civil Litigation/Class Action Defense; Antitrust Merger Control; Capital Markets representation across Debt, Equity Offerings, and High-Yield; Commercial Lending (Advice to Lenders); Corporate Investigations & White Collar Defense; Environmental (Transactional); General Commercial Disputes; Insurance (Advice to Insurers); Middle-Market M&A; Media, Technology and Telecoms for both Regulatory and Transactional; Securities Litigation Defense; and for the first time, Tax. Additionally, thirty-two individual Cahill attorneys were recommended by The Legal 500.
Cahill’s high-yield debt practice continued to be distinguished as a tier-one ranked firm. The review published by The Legal 500 in the 2021 guide noted that Cahill “dominates the high-yield debt market for underwriters, outstripping its competitors by quite some distance. The firm is noted for its deal flow, but it also wins many of the biggest deals in the market, including those linked to headline acquisitions.” The Firm also “consistently attract[s] mandates involving first-time issuers” as well as “deals involving seasoned, repeat-issuers.” Cahill was also ranked as a top firm for debt and equity offerings. In the lending arena, The Legal 500 recognized Cahill’s commercial lending practice as tier-one for another consecutive year, with the publication describing Cahill as the “most active firm in the market for lender-side transactions.”
In another tier-one ranking, Cahill’s securities litigation practice earned the highest distinction for the 2021 guide as well. The Legal 500 lauded the group’s “in-depth understanding of investment banks, asset managers and hedge funds, as well as the complex financial products they offer.” The publication also remarked that Cahill’s “focus on high-value and precedent-setting disputes for clients in the financial services sector places it among the market leaders in this space.”
