Cahill has been shortlisted in the Crisis Management and Government Oversight category of the 2026 D.C. Legal Awards, hosted by Law.com.
Attorneys in both practices draw upon public service and private practice experience to guide clients through highly scrutinized investigations and bet-the-company regulatory cases. Cahill partner Ed O’Callaghan chairs the firm’s Congressional Investigations practice, based in Washington, D.C., and he co-chairs the firm’s White Collar Defense & Investigations practice with partner Kiersten Fletcher. Recent Cahill matters include resolving a federal multi-agency investigation into Austal USA, a crucial U.S. Navy shipbuilder; preparing Boston Mayor Michelle Wu to testify before the House Oversight Committee on so-called “sanctuary cities”; and acting as counsel for Norfolk Southern in enforcement-related matters pertaining to a 2023 Ohio train derailment.
The D.C. Legal Awards recognize outstanding law firms, legal departments, and attorneys in the Washington, D.C. area across a wide variety of litigative and corporate practices. Winners will be announced on October 20.
