Cahill Honored with The Legal Aid Society's 2014 Pro Bono Publico Award

Cahill Gordon & Reindel LLP has again been honored by The Legal Aid Society of New York with the Society’s Pro Bono Publico Award. Cahill lawyers have been honored with The Legal Aid Society’s Pro Bono Award each year since 2005, when the firm began to work closely with pro bono clients of the Kathryn A. McDonald Educational Advocacy Project of the Juvenile Rights Practice. The 2014 award recognized Cahill’s “outstanding pro bono service” in major projects concerning Juvenile Rights. Cahill Associate Frederick Glasgow was also recognized with an individual award for his successful work in a New York City Housing Authority case.
In partnership with the Legal Aid Society, Cahill provides pro bono representation to young children who are subjects of abuse and neglect proceedings in New York Family Courts, disabled individuals in need of social security benefits, tenants who are denied the most basic of services and indigent defendants in criminal appeals.
