Cahill Honored with The Legal Aid Society's Pro Bono Publico Award 2016

Cahill Gordon & Reindel LLP has again received The Legal Aid Society of New York's Pro Bono Publico Award in recognition of "sustained commitment to providing pro bono assistance to both the Society and its clients." Current and former Cahill lawyers Danielle Newman, Jacquelyn Ryberg, Christopher Pendleton, Alex Petrossian, and Scott Singer also received awards for their individual advocacy in specific cases. Cahill lawyers have been honored with The Legal Aid Society's Publico Award each year since 2005, when the firm began to work closely with pro bono clients of the Kathryn A. McDonald Educational Advocacy Project of the Juvenile Rights Practice.
In partnership with The Legal Aid Society, Cahill provides pro bono representation to young children who are subjects of abuse and neglect proceedings in New York Family Courts, disabled individuals in need of social security benefits, tenants who are denied the most basic of services and indigent defendants in criminal appeals.
