Bart Friedman participated in a panel discussion hosted by the New York State Bar Association entitled Advising Nonprofits About Corporate Governance & Compliance. The panel discussed how fiduciary duties of care and loyalty translate into the nonprofit context, annual informational filing requirements, and how to help nonprofits better realize their mission to do the public good. Bart was joined by moderator Lesley Rosenthal, Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts; panelist Sean Delany, Executive Director of Lawyers Alliance for New York, Inc.; panelist Jason R. Lilien, Chief, Charities Bureau of the Office of the Attorney General; panelist Thomas J.
