Alfonso Chan to Serve as Judge in the University of Maryland Invention of the Year Awards

Cahill partner Alfonso Garcia Chan will participate in the University of Maryland (UMD) Invention of the Year Awards on May 12, 2026, which honors inventions disclosed by UMD students and staff in 2025. He will be joined by fellow Cahill lawyers Raphael Chabaneix and Kaki Vessels.

Alfonso served as a judge for the Invention of the Year nominations. The awards celebrate UMD researchers' creativity in translating cutting-edge research into practical, impactful solutions that address global challenges.
