Cahill Litigation Team Prevails on Behalf of Deutsche Bank in Dismissal of FINRA Arbitration

A Cahill litigation team prevailed on behalf of Deutsche Bank and five individual respondents in securing the dismissal of a FINRA arbitration brought by an Illinois broker-dealer stemming from a sale of securities intended to reduce an overdraft in a Deutsche Bank account. On June 30, 2023, after three weeks of evidentiary hearings and following the prior dismissal of two of the individual respondents, the panel of three arbitrators granted Deutsche Bank’s motion to dismiss, finding that the claimant had failed to establish a legally cognizable cause of action against Deutsche Bank and the remaining individual respondents.
