Cahill Prevails on Behalf of UBS Securities in FINRA Arbitration

A Cahill litigation team led by partner Tammy Roy prevailed on behalf of UBS Securities LLC in connection with a $20 million FINRA arbitration filed against UBS by a hedge fund and related entities. Claimants, who were former customers of UBS’s prime brokerage services, asserted a variety of contract and tort claims related to certain margin increases and trading restrictions placed on the hedge fund’s accounts. After a six-day arbitration hearing in August, 2023, the panel of three arbitrators issued an award, denying Claimants’ claims in their entirety.
