Center for Appellate Litigation to Honor Cahill Attorneys at Annual Benefit

The Center for Appellate Litigation (“CAL”) will honor Cahill attorneys Joel Kurtzberg, Ivan Torres, and Nicole Ligon at CAL’s annual benefit on March, 15, 2018. Cahill advised CAL’s Books Beyond Bars project in connection with challenging recently proposed changes to the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision's packaging restrictions that would have prevented incarcerated individuals from receiving donated books via mail. Following this challenge, the proposed packaging restrictions have been abandoned.
