Elai Katz Moderates Panel at ABA Antitrust Spring Meeting

On Wednesday, March 27, 2019, Elai Katz moderated a panel at the ABA Antitrust Spring Meeting titled "Information Exchange Counseling in the Digital Age." The panel discussed how U.S. law has long recognized that information exchanges can make markets more intelligent and should not be summarily condemned. But counseling clients — without chilling procompetitive exchanges — has become more difficult across all industries with the proliferation of digital communication tools, information-rich business models, and active enforcement agendas, as well as divergent global rules. Elai was joined by speakers Michael Bauer of CMS Law; Joseph V. Farrell of University of California at Berkeley; Scott A. Scheele, Chief, Telecommunications and Broadband Section, U.S. Department of Justice, Antitrust Division; and Amanda L. Wait of Norton Rose Fulbright.
