Elai Katz and Lauren Rackow Speak at the 70th ABA Antitrust Law Spring Meeting

Partner Elai Katz and counsel Lauren Rackow participated in this year’s American Bar Association (ABA) Antitrust Law Spring Meeting on April 6-8 in Washington, D.C.
On April 6, Lauren moderated the “Effective Advocacy in Healthcare Antitrust Matters” panel, which featured lawyers presenting their cases and hearing the enforcers’ feedback as merging parties try to defend a hospital merger to skeptical U.S. authorities. On April 7, Elai moderated the “When Did You Become My Competitor?” panel, which discussed how recent enforcement actions challenging restraints on competition for employees have led antitrust compliance counselors to reconsider who might be a company’s competitors.
The ABA Antitrust Law Spring Meeting covered topics such as the fundamentals of antitrust economics, Big Data, the consumer welfare standard as well as markets from agriculture to bitcoin.
